Hamble Cliff House was substantially rebuilt in the 1990s when it gained its top- floor mansard roof, which we understand was a concession to make the development viable. This top floor was subdivided into a number of additional apartments, one of which is owned by our clients. They wanted to replan the dwelling to gain a view of the sea when they woke and also completely change the experience of arriving at the home. We did this in collaboration with the local authority Conservation Officer to ensure that the redesign worked with client ideals, whilst also not risking the rebuild work to this listed property.
